Smart Volume Triggers analyzes the relationship between volume and bar structure to identify four distinct types of market signals.
These signals highlight moments when momentum is fading, traders are trapped on the wrong side, or absorption occurs at key price zones.

The study compares current volume and range with recent averages, applying precise confirmation rules for each trigger type.

📊 The Four Volume Triggers

1️⃣ Test (tst) – Detects shakeout bars where price makes a new high or low but quickly returns inside the prior range, signaling potential exhaustion of the move.

2️⃣ Trap (trap) – Appears when price breaks a recent high/low on high volume but closes in the opposite direction — showing traders trapped and likely reversal ahead.

3️⃣ End of Trend (END) – Identifies small-range bars with high volume that close away from the extremes — a common sign of trend exhaustion.

4️⃣ Supply / Demand (sd) – Highlights passive absorption: a high-volume bar followed by a low-volume bar near an extreme, often marking reaction zones or absorption points.
