DeltaFlipSignals - Orderflow Trigger for Sierra Chart

🎓 Originally developed in ACSIL for a private client with a tailored orderflow strategy, DeltaFlipSignals is now available as a standalone study — delivering the same signal logic used by advanced intraday traders focused on delta-driven reversals.

Delta flips are one of the most overlooked yet powerful orderflow signals for identifying potential reversals and momentum shifts at key intraday levels. This custom Sierra Chart study detects those flips in real time — highlighting long/short opportunities at recent swing highs and lows, with optional filters for strong confirmation and session-based logic.

DeltaFlipSignals is most effective when used only around key contextual zones — such as prior highs/lows, volume nodes, VA/CVA, VWAP deviations, or major support/resistance.
Outside of these areas, signals may generate noise or false positives.

Make sure to test and optimize the settings based on your specific asset, timeframe, and trading style.
Different instruments (ES, NQ, CL, GC, etc.) respond differently to delta shifts — so tuning the Lookback Period, Flip Threshold, and Confirmation options around key areas is essential for best results.

🎯 What It Does:

DeltaFlipSignals continuously monitors delta imbalances to detect sudden flips in aggression — especially near local extremes. These flips often precede sharp reversals or breakouts and are ideal for scalpers and intraday traders seeking precision timing.

It marks potential trade entries directly on your chart, using clean, minimalist visuals with adjustable thresholds and filters.

🧠 Core Logic:

DeltaFlipSignals uses multiple layers of filtering and logic to generate actionable signals:

• Delta Flip Detection – Triggers when delta flips direction near recent highs/lows
• Strong Flip Filter – Highlights high-momentum shifts using a delta multiplier.
• Next-Bar Confirmation – Requires the next bar to confirm the flip (1-bar delay logic).
• Confirmation Threshold – Price must move at least X points in the intended direction.
• Session Filter – Signals are only generated within a user-defined session window — fully customized
• Volume Filter – Optional. When enabled, signals only print if current volume exceeds a multiple (e.g. 1.2×) of a customizable average — commonly set to 5, 10, or 20 bars.
• ATR Filter – Optional. Configurable to require a minimum ATR level, e.g. ATR(14) ≥ 2.0, 3.0, etc.

⚙️ Recommended Starter Settings:

• Swing High/Low Period: 15–25
• Delta Flip Threshold: 100–250 (tune per instrument/timeframe)
• Strong Delta Flip Multiplier: 1.5 – 3.0
• Wait for Next Bar Confirmation: ✅ Enabled (recommended)
• Points Needed to Confirm: Optional (for additional filtering)

🔧 Installation Instructions:

You’ll receive the file:
DeltaFlipSignals_64.dll

1. Copy the .DLL into your SierraChart/Data folder
2. Open Sierra Chart → Go to Analysis → Studies → Add Custom Study
3. Look for DeltaFlipSignals in the Custom Study section
4. Add it to your chart and configure the parameters
